A LITTLE HELP FOR GROWN-UPS

Play together. Grow together.

Loading your learning garden…
Pip’s voice is AI-generated by OpenAI.

Choose any letter and play three short activities: recognize the uppercase letter, match a picture, and find its lowercase partner.

Tap “Listen” to listen to the current game’s question or instructions. On the reading start screen, tap “Listen.” These buttons turn sound on and play narration; they do not record a child’s voice. Encourage your child to say the words and notice their sounds. For X, we listen for the ending sound in “fox.”

There’s no timer or penalty. No account or sign-in is needed. Guest stars save automatically for this browser. Everyone playing as a guest in this browser shares a garden. A grown-up can optionally create an account to keep a garden across devices. Clearing cookies or switching browsers starts a new guest garden; account holders can sign in to restore their stars. All games also have written instructions.

Grow as a reader

In Reading, choose Rhyme Nest to hear matching word endings, Word Builder to spell six simple three-letter words with short vowels, or Story Time to order and retell six short stories. Each game has six saved stars. Help me gives a clue without earning a star; Undo lets children change their answer. Read the story together shows the full text for grown-up support. Try saying each sound as you build a word, then blend them together. Ask your child to retell each story to Pip.

Writing garden

Choose Writing to trace big and little letters A–Z. Start at the star and follow the dotted trail with a finger, stylus, or mouse. Lift between strokes. Show me demonstrates the path. Each shape earns one writing star; tracing both shapes completes a letter. A replay never adds duplicate stars. Keyboard instructions are under the paper. The trails are gentle practice guides, not a handwriting assessment. No drawings are uploaded or saved.

Number garden

Choose Math for numbers 0–10. Tap each apple to count it once, match a number to a carrot basket, and add two groups with totals up to ten. Empty groups introduce zero. Each number has three games and three stars, with no timer or penalty for trying again. Saved math progress is separate from reading and writing.

Discovery garden

Choose Science to explore plants, animals, weather, senses, water, and the sky. Each topic has three picture challenges and a short explanation after each discovery. Ask your child what they notice and why they chose a picture. Tap Listen to hear a question, or Hear what we learned after answering. There are no timed tasks or hands-on experiments. Science stars and completed topics save in your learning garden.

Our little community

Choose Social studies for community helpers, a simple neighborhood map, cooperation, past and present, shared places, and family traditions. Each topic has three picture challenges with a short explanation. Invite your child to describe what they see, talk about different ways families live, and practice listening to others. Progress saves in this browser.

Feelings & friends

Choose Feelings for naming emotions, finding calm, friendship, empathy, solving problems, and asking trusted grown-ups for help. All feelings are welcome. Stars track completed practice stories, not how your child feels or behaves. The game does not ask children to report their own emotions.

In Find calm, an optional breathing bubble offers three gentle breaths. Children can stop, skip it, or go at their own pace. It does not earn stars or change an answer. Talk together about other strategies that work for your child.

Music garden

Choose Music to copy three short melodies on colorful note keys, build three rhythms with taps and quiet rests, and explore high notes, faster beats, and matching tunes. Tap Play to hear each example. Note trails and picture clues let children play visually, too. Beat builders uses a four-step pattern with no timing test. There are nine music stars, saved in your learning garden. Replaying never adds duplicate stars.

Musical sounds start only when a player taps a key or Play. Use Stop or the sound button at any time. Children can use touch, a mouse, or Tab and Enter on the keyboard.

Art garden

Choose Art to explore three paint-color mixes, make three shape pictures, and try lines, dots, and colorful drawing. The paint mixer uses a simple red-yellow-blue model; real paints can mix a little differently. Children can put their shapes and marks anywhere. Stars recognize trying the activity, not artistic quality.

Use a finger, stylus, mouse, or the keyboard instructions below the paper. Undo removes one mark; Clear paper starts fresh. Pictures are temporary and are not uploaded or saved. Leaving an activity clears its picture. Only completed art stars save in your learning garden. Invite your child to tell you about their creation.

Saved narration

The first time a game instruction is read aloud, Pip’s Classroom generates an MP3 and saves it for future visits. The same instruction and voice reuse that file across devices. New recordings need OpenAI API credits; previously saved recordings can play without another generation request. Only the game’s fixed written narration is saved here, never a child’s microphone recording or answer.

Listen with Pip

Tap Listen to hear the instructions in Pip’s AI-generated voice. Children answer using the game buttons. This site does not record children’s voices.
