Build a three-digit number
Add and remove hundred squares, ten rods, and single ones to match Pip’s number. Each tray holds up to nine blocks, helping children connect a digit with its place.
LITTLE PRACTICE. BIG CURIOSITY.
Big numbers become easier to understand when children can see what each digit means. Place Value Builders offers eight short challenges with base-ten blocks, spoken directions, and gentle hints. Start playing without an account, or use an optional account to keep track of progress.

EXPLORE THE GAMES
Add and remove hundred squares, ten rods, and single ones to match Pip’s number. Each tray holds up to nine blocks, helping children connect a digit with its place.
Watch the total change as you build. For example, 124 is 100 + 20 + 4. Ask your child to explain what would change if they added another ten.
Most challenges use a nonzero digit in every place. Two later challenges introduce an empty tens or ones tray, showing how zero holds a place in 703 and 940.
This game introduces three-digit place value connected to Common Core 2.NBT.A.1 and expanded-form practice in 2.NBT.A.3. It covers one part of second-grade math; continue with teacher-guided lessons and hands-on practice.
A FEW MINUTES TOGETHER
There is no time limit for answering. A correct answer moves to the next question after five seconds; Next moves on sooner. Follow your child’s pace and pause whenever they need a break.
Great teachers give children guidance and encouragement every day. Families can build on classroom lessons or use these games for extra practice alongside their homeschool curriculum. Choose what connects with your child’s interests and what you are teaching.
