What your child can practice
Connect repeated addition and multiplication
Read the row amounts as repeated addition, then choose the total. For example, three rows of four can be counted as 4 + 4 + 4 and written as 3 × 4 = 12.
Practice multiplication stories
Eight challenges introduce products up to 81 with visual support. A correct answer earns a star after the array matches the story. Children can listen, ask for a hint, reset the counters, and try again.
A starting point for third-grade math
This game introduces equal-group multiplication in Common Core 3.OA.A.1 and the multiplication word-problem portion of 3.OA.A.3. It supports one part of third-grade learning; pair it with classroom teaching, discussion, and hands-on practice.

How to get started
- Open Third grade and choose Array Garden.
- Listen to the story and build matching rows of counters.
- Ask your child to count by groups and explain the multiplication equation before choosing the total.
There is no time limit for answering. A correct answer moves to the next question after five seconds; Next moves on sooner. Follow your child’s pace and pause whenever they need a break.
