What can learners practice in kindergarten?

Reading

Hear rhymes, match letters, blend simple words, and put story events in order. Talk about the pictures and retell a short story together.

Writing

Trace letters, build sentences, and draw a picture journal. Children can draw manually; the starting star is an optional helper.

Math

Count and compare groups, work with addition and subtraction within ten, and explore shapes, measurement, and simple data.

Science

Observe living things and weather, explore pushes and pulls, and try adult-supported investigations. Explain what you notice before choosing an answer.

Music

Listen for patterns, explore high and low notes, create short tunes, and respond to music. There is room to compose as well as copy.

Art

Try colors, shapes, textures, and drawing. Look closely at an image and explain a choice; participation stars do not grade the quality of a picture.

How a learning session works

  1. Choose a subject, then use Games to open “100 challenges · 3 levels.” Review Pip’s example. Listen reads the fixed instruction aloud; it does not record a child.
  2. Try the activity, use Help when needed, and talk about the answer or idea. Some tasks need an adult and real materials.
  3. Return to a practiced skill or try another subject. Review earns a participation leaf without duplicating completion stars.

Three adventure levels and celebrations every ten unique completions mark game progress. They do not certify that a state standard has been mastered. Open-ended work waits for Next, and grown-ups can pause automatic advancement for every activity.

Choosing activities for your learner

The grade labels organize practice; they are not placement tests. Choose a different grade when its tasks are a better fit, and combine the games with books, teaching, movement, and hands-on work.

The routes reference Idaho standards, but coverage is partial and educator review remains pending. This is supplemental practice, not a state-approved complete curriculum.

Will our progress save?

Guest progress saves for this browser. Families can create an optional grown-up account to carry the garden across devices. Written drafts and drawings are temporary and are not uploaded. Garden friends remain earned when learners take a break.
